Book your Psychic party now to get in for Halloween!

Psychic parties are great fun! Peoples beliefs are challenged, and their eyes opened against a backdrop of social interaction with friends, family and people we like!

During a typical party I will give demonstrations of telekinesis and extra-sensory perception as well as quick 5-10 minute tarot or palm readings to all who want one.

At the time of writing bookings for such parties are creeping in for October and I am always very busy over the Halloween week in particular with both psychic parties and seances.

So take this as a bit of a heads up!

A lot of people who book me are surprised at affordability, as it is natural to assume especially in this day and age how expensive private entertainment at a social event can be. Prices depend on location, travel and needs, however I do not charge for quotes, so you don’t have anything to lose by asking!

As always, you can contact me for a quote for a psychic party or any of the services offered on my website by emailing me direct on Rob@lupinemagic.com

I always respond to genuine enquiries within 24 hours of receiving them so you won’t have to wait long!

I look forward to hearing from you!

What’s a Wadfest?

That was a question that was put to me nearly 10 years ago.
At the time I was merely covering the Saturday evening entertainment and doing Tarot readings throughout the day. Little did I know that I’d end up running the weekend!
Wadfest is an annual sci-fi and fantasy themed camping event now entering it’s 10th year. Originally started by enthusiasts of Terry Pratchetts “Discworld” series and aimed at offering a fun, variety filled weekend for families at an affordable price, it has become a regular date on many a geeks calendar.
The event also raises money for charity, and over the last decade it’s raffle and charity auction have raised over ten thousand pounds for cancer research uk.
Ten years ago, a man named Victor Wadmore spotted a gap in the Discworld calendar. On alternate years there would be a camping event laid on by a company called Clarecraft, but there wasn’t anything to replace it in it’s off year. There was the Discworld convention, of course, but many found the price beyond their means, (not that it’s bad value for money, if you can afford it- go, it’s a great weekend!).
Waddy’s original plan was to have a small meet up at a centrally based camp site where we’d sit round a camp fire, have a drink and a chat and generally have a fun relaxing weekend, how little he knew!
Over 70 people booked into that first event, including myself. I had just been to my first Clarecraft event and was hungry for more.
Waddy was keen to make the event something that everyone would remember and so, knowing my background in entertainment, asked me to do a show. I enthusiastically agreed to help, and what followed was at the time the most rehearsed show I’d ever done, resulting in one of the most enjoyable evenings work I have ever done!
It was quickly decided by those who attended that first Wadfest, that the event was a success and it should become an annual occurrence.
Over the years I slowly took more responsibility over the weekend. I suggested ideas to Waddy and marvelled over the fact that he took them on board! By 2005 I was officially the events co-orgoniser and was in charge of the smooth running of the weekend itself.
In the last 10 years we have had many high points, including having Sir Terry Pratchett as our guest of honour in 2005, and also a few lows including losing one of our key team members and original Waddy Wrangler Karen to cancer in 2006. But we have always maintained our sense of fun and to that end get between 300 and 500 attendees every year.
There are 2 elements that make the weekends work: firstly our dedicated committee, who work tirelessly all year round to gather prizes for the games, or approach potential areas for advertising, or procuring items for the charity auction.
Secondly is the attitude of the people who come. If there wasn’t a bloody minded determination to have a good time no matter what we would never have survived the poor facilities of the first events site, let alone the wind rain and mud of Koom Valley in 2004 or the Chav invasion of 2009, (Don’t Ask!)
In a few weeks wadfesters will be congregating once more in Church Laneham and celebrating 10 years in their unique style, and no doubt there will be new stories to add to the Wadfest cannon. This year will be more sci-fi orientated than ever before, but will always maintain its relaxed, informal style that has made it so popular over the years. There will be entertainment, games & one or two surprises along the way and the best part is that tickets are still available!
If you wish to attend, you don’t have to be a discworld fan, just be ready to go with the flow and accept that anything can happen! Just go to www.wadfest.co.uk and click the tickets button.
So I hope that answers the question that was put to me 10 years ago. And if you still don’t know what a Wadfest is, neither do we!

A hint of things to come…

This photograph of the Ghost Girl was taken as Wem Town Hall burned to the ground in Shropshire, UK in 1995. At the time, nobody saw this girl standing in the doorway of the burning building. Onlookers were stopped by police and fire-fighters from approaching the burning town hall.

It was only after the fire that the photo was developed and the photographer discovered the ghostly image of the young girl. Experts analysed both the photo and negative and reported that they had not been altered or faked.

Sceptics say that the image of the girl may just be a convenient trick of the light – with smoke, flame and shadow creating an optical illusion at the moment the photographer took his picture. Do you think that’s possible? The image of the girl’s face on the pictures has never been properly explained. Is this a real ghost caught on film?

But if it’s real, who could the Ghost Girl be?

The town hall burned down once before, a long time ago. It happened in 1677 and history books say that the fire was started accidentally by a 14-year old girl called Jane Churm, when she dropped a candle. Locals maintain that Jane Churm was one of the people who died in that fire back in 1677 and has haunted the town hall ever since. Some think her ghost continues to haunt the building because of her guilt for starting the original fire that killed so many others.

I will be utilising this story and others as part of a new event coming up later this year.

Watch this space…

Planning a barbie?

One of the best parts of what I do is seeing the looks on peoples faces when they see something truly miraculous happen in front of their eyes, or in their hands and there can be absolutely no question that what they have experienced is genuine.
I met some very good friends over the recent bank holiday and the subject of stopping ones heart came up, like it does!
It was very satisfying to have my friend check my pulse and the look on his face when I stopped it was priceless!
My point is that psychic ability doesn’t have to be confined to the psychic reading, & for many years I have entertained wedding guests, party goers and revellers with my demonstrations of ESP, PK and elemental control.
At a party I stroll from group to group braking the ice and creating an unusual ambience that will make your event a talking point for years to come.
I can work indoors or outside in the right conditions, and finish the event doing quick readings!
At this time of year weddings and barbecues seem to be the most popular events. I can also do after dinner demonstrations and parties.
If any of this is of interest to you contact me for a quote you may be pleasantly surprised.
You can email me at rob@lupinemagic.com

I will be available for readings on psychic first this week on Thursday June 2nd from 6pm.

Were you there?

Well I’m guessing we all survived the cataclysmic events of last Saturdays rapture, however as I predicted on Twitter there would be another one along shortly! Apparently the end of the world has been postponed to October. I understand that last-minute organisation, the fact that nobody was instructed to bring the acid vats for the judgement and leaves on the line were to blame.

In the meantime I will be on Psychic first on Sky 885 this evening from 6pm. It will be a bit of a final judgement in its own right as it will be my last shift for a few weeks, so call into the show if you want a reading.

In light of the recent news events it seems fitting that today is international towel day. After mass hysteria has proved that it can potentially be very damaging to people and their lives, ( I noted how many of Campings followers had quit their jobs and donated all their money to his cause) It can also be fun if handled correctly. I was amused by the amount of photos of piles of clothes in the street suggesting that people were “raptured” in unlikely situations.

So today on May 25th many people will be wearing lilac, Why? If you were there you don’t need to ask!

However if you were not there read Terry Pratchetts Night watch and you will understand.

Some cults, for want of a better word, are quite harmless and know how to laugh at themselves. they can create a sense of belonging without being over committed to their cause. By surrounding yourself with like-minded people you find people who value your values and respect your opinions. At the same time they will challenge your beliefs and cause you to have a better sence of identity.

There is no harm in wearing lilac on may 25th or knowing where your towel is as these things have their basis in fiction and most of the days followers are aware of that.

the danger comes in when the Cult’s perception of reality becomes distorted.

Join a cult by all means, enjoy the experience, whether it is based in spirituality or you enjoy donning a star trek uniform and meeting friends at conventions. Do it and remember to laugh at yourself and keep your feet on the ground.

And most of all, Don’t Panic!

The end is Nigh?

Been reading a lot on the internet about the end of the world being almost upon us. There has been a massive amount of publicity on the mayan Callender ending on December 21st 2012 and logically that must mean that the world indeed will end. Personally I think that it can be averted if on that day everyone in the world jumps into the air at midnight EST…

My point is, there is always going to be a doomsday scenario. A little over a decade ago it was the so-called millennium bug, people predicted computers and electrical systems crashing the world over, planes were going to drop from the sky and humanity was going to enter the second dark age. It never happened.

In 1999 Nostradamus’ infamous “King of terror” prophecy was translated as being relevant to the solar eclipse of that year. although the eclipse itself was no more significant than the many others that have happened before or after that event.

December 21st 2012 is also a date that will pass us by without any happening, and probably be swiftly be replaced by another “doomsday prophesy” from a long forgotten tribe that will take place at a far off but near enough to be relevant time.

But what if I’m wrong? What if the world is destined to  end on that particular day? What can we do about it?

The simple answer is, not a lot.

The Mayans gave us no information about the nature of the catastrophe, no pictures of fireballs coming out of the sky, no written prophesy about the water levels rising and no hastily written notes warning us not to take out any life insurance policies around that date.

In 1999 I saw a news report about a man who believing the world would end on the day of the eclipse, sold his house, quit his job and left all he knew behind so that he could face the apocalypse in his own way. I bet he felt silly the next day.

The would may end on December 21st 2012, but it may end tomorrow, or in the year 4000. We live in an unpredictable universe whether you are psychic or not. You may as well live your life as if everything is normal, because it surely is!

If you are still worried, you could try jumping!

I’ll be on psychic first this week between 6pm and midnight on Monday and Thursday. I’ll be doing readings with the cards, runes & obsidian scrying mirror. do call in if you want me to give you my insight.

Quiet time!

Bit of a quiet week this week, after the chaos of dealing with my daughters second birthday last week!
However its back to business as usual.
I will be on Sky 885 tonight from 6 till midnight tonight & among other things will be talking about the psychology of doodles, & their hidden meanings.
Later this week I’m going to fit in a few hours on the Kooma phone lines- something I have been neglecting of late.
Don’t forget, you can always get readings and dream analysis from my website by going to the “Readings” page.
I have also been getting a few questions on Psychic first regarding Psychic development. I have been looking into the options of doing a day course on psychic readings, covering the process of creating a strong reading regardless of whether you use Tarot, Astrology or anything else.
It’s early days yet, & in order to make it happen I need significant interest. If you would be inclined to take part in such a course then register your interest by emailing me on Rob@lupinemagic.com
You are not committing yourselves at this stage, I just need a rough Idea of Numbers so I can secure a venue and date.
Hope to hear from you soon!

Thats the way to do it!

Got back home after a fantastic weekend in Somerset, seeing some good friends pledge their love for one another.

I will say among the many highlights of the weekend was a punch & Judy show, I havent seen one since I was a boy & feel that Punch & Judy is a dying art in the UK that desperately needs a revival.

The shows are very politically incorrect, contain graphic violence and lawbreaking misdemeanours, And yet are loved by children the world over!

Punch & Judy has been heavily criticized over the years for its portrayal of domestic violence, however I believe the kids are intelligent enough to be aware that it is only make-believe, and even if they are not, Mr Punch faces a grizzly comeuppance in the end and gets his just desserts anyway, driving home the message that evil deeds have their own form of reward!

Anyway, If you are looking for something different for a children’s party you could do worse than look up Mr. Tom Foolery, as well as doing a first class punch and Judy Show he is also an accomplished children’s entertainer.

You can find him here: http://www.tomfoolerymagic.co.uk/

Happy May Day!

I have a busy month ahead, Keep watching Psychic first on Sky 885. I’ll be on tomorrow and Tueasday evening next week between 6pm & midnight. This is one of the easiest ways to get a reading from me so be sure to tune in if you need guidance.
If you want something a little more personal you can always book me for a private reading, I can travel to your location and use a multitude of techniques to get to the root of the issues of your life.
Private face to face readings can be much more powerful than phone readings as there is usually a stronger connection when you are in the same room, & also we are not as restricted by Offcom regulations etc.
If you want to book me for a private session email me, (rob@lupinemagic.com) for a quote.
I look forward to hearing from you…
